"Ace Manbow" is an enemy from Rockman & Forte: Mirai Kara no Chousensha. It is a robot modeled after a fish.

Ace Manbow was first made available with the Megamix Engine, and subsequently the devkits for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level. Its MaGMML game debut came with Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, which used them in the level Entrance to Tier X. They later appeared in the MaG48HMML entry Planet Xanlordus, as well as the Cartel Hideout stage Deep Sea Break-In.

It returned for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, and was used in the entries Damp Ruins, Toxic Trouble, The Haymay Trials, Revenge of Tricastle, Hazard Hydro, An Underwater Adventure? Wow!, Plataform Hijinks, and wet.

Behavior

Ace Manbow moves up and down, changing directions upon travelling a certain distance. When it changes direction, it travels forward a small distance. At regular intervals, it releases a spreadshot of eight projectiles. By flipping an Ace Manbow's image_yscale in the editor, it will start travelling upwards instead of down.

Ace Manbow has three creation code values:

  • moveDistance - The distance in pixels an Ace Manbow travels vertically (by default, this is set to 80).
  • spd - The speed an Ace Manbow moves at.
  • cooldownMax - The length of time that passes before an Ace Manbow fires its spreadshot.

Notes

  • Ace Manbow's colouration resembles that of Kine from the Kirby series (which, given the MaGMML series' frequent homages to said series, is likely intentional).
