Alien Temple is the 58th place level in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2. It is a short stage - in fact, it is the shortest stage in the entire second game. It features only three rooms, two of which are empty of both enemies and hazards. Only the third screen contains anything of real danger, a boss fight with the Alien. The second and third screens both feature low gravity via an invisible Gravity Changer.

Strategy

For the first two screens, simply hold right. Upon facing the boss, activate Flash Stopper and score an easy kill. The boss's vulnerability to Flash Stopper makes this an easy stage to no hit run.

It's just a boss fight, and the boss fight is just... 'good'. Most of the attacks are fine, though the boss feels a bit dull because it seems like it just randomly chooses attacks, and some, like the yellow comet attack, aren't really well telegraphed. It's literally only the boss so it's not like I can say that much more about this...it looks really nice though!!

Design Fun Creativity Aesthetics Functionality Skip Teleporter? 6 / 15 3 / 10 7 / 15 4 / 5 5 / 5 No An okay boss fight. It shines more in its concept than it does in its execution. All it needs is more telegraphing for its attacks, slightly slower or smaller projectiles and something that prevents him from spawning on top of the player. I liked the idea of having to utilise 0.5x Gravity to reach him, but occasionally he spawned near the ground which interrupted my illusion of this being a consistent thing. I was half-hoping for this to be the prelude to an alien base intrusion level, though, so I can't help but be somewhat disappointed by there being no substance aside from the boss itself.

Boss fight is alright, but that's the only part really. It's a super short level. Could be seriously better, idea is nice and boss is cool, but that's it. Looks good, but uses default music before the boss. Works just fine. Come on, there could have been much more to this level. I mean, for what's there, it's not bad, but there's a serious lack of content considering that the level consists of only one boss and a very short section before it. That's simply not enough.
