Baby Metall was first made available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2. In addition to appearing in every level that used Metall Mommy, it made independent appearances in the entries Chomp Man and Forgotten Fortress. It reappeared in Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, but was never used without Metall Mommy. In Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, Baby Metalls made an appearance without Metall Mommy (which this time went unused) as one of Don Atetemino's enemy summons.
Baby Metalls bounce towards Mega Man slowly, unable to fire any shots. After a short while, they will self-destruct. The length of time (in frames) it takes for them to do so can be modified by setting the "explosion" variable in creation code.
