- "The head of this enemy is a solid that players can stand on, he will shoot sound waves that boounce off walls, but only once. His body is destructible, but it will regenerate over time, how tall he is can be adjusted via creation code."
- ―Note in Bari III's code, Megamix Engine
Bari III is an enemy from Mega Man 10. It is a tall robot with a segmented body and flat-topped head.
Bari III was first made available with the Megamix Engine, and subsequently the devkits for all games using it. As of Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, it has yet to appear in a MaGMML game as an enemy, but it appears in the aforementioned game as an NPC in Tier 8.
Behavior[edit]
Bari III obstructs the path forwards, and periodically shoots two soundwaves that travel in diagonal angles and rebound off of solid terrain. To destroy a Bari III, the head must be destroyed; destroying a body segment will instead shrink it by a small amount. The top of the head can be stood on as a platform; doing so prevents it from shooting soundwaves, and also pushes the body deeper into the ground. If a Bari III isn't at its maximum height, it will slowly regenerate its missing segments.
Bari IIIs have a few creation code variables:
- col - Determines the colour of a Bari III (0 = purple (default), 1 = orange).
- maxSize - Determines the maximum number of body segments a Bari III has, and therefore how tall it can be; by default it can have up to three segments.
- spawnSize - Determines the starting height of a Bari III; if left unmodified, it will be set to the value of maxSize.
