Butter Nezumi is a boss from the pseudo-Mega Man game Nezumiman. One of Dr. Gyoniku's henchmen, he is a mouse with cow-like features, such as spot patterns and a cow's tail as opposed to a mouse's. He has special powers over milk, being able to spray it from a giant bottle or use it to create a shield of butter called the Butter Barrier.
Butter Nezumi appears in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, serving as a tier boss. Like most tier bosses, his attack pattern is drastically updated from his source game, becoming a much more complex boss.

Game Appearances[edit]
Nezumiman[edit]
Butter Nezumi is one of the eight boss Nezumis. To reach him, Nezumi Man must traverse a farm filled with dangerous livestock, from pitchfork-bearing cows, to chickens rolling on logs, to sheep armed with explosives. During his boss fight, Butter Nezumi jumps into a bottle of milk to create his Butter Barrier, which he uses as both a defensive shield and as an offensive attack, alongside basic projectiles after throwing the Butter Barrier. His weakness is the Pashiri Gun, Usagi's Special Weapon, and his Butter Barrier is the weakness of Ice Nezumi.
Make a Good Mega Man Level 2[edit]
Butter Nezumi appears as the boss of Tier 9, the Festival Grounds. He attacks Mega Man hoping to avenge Milk, whom Butter Nezumi viewed as a child figure. While Mega Man points out the Milk fought in Tier 1 was merely a simulation, Butter Nezumi still insists on fighting.
The arena's layout is about a screen and a half, featuring two milk bottles on opposite sides that Butter Nezumi jumps into. His pattern consists of him swapping around the "flavour" of the milk with bombs and getting different elemental shields as a result. He always cycles through a constant pattern - a regular Butter Barrier, a Nitro Butter Barrier, a Fire Butter Barrier, an Ice Butter Barrier, and a Shock Butter Barrier, before the pattern loops. He also can throw bouncing cheese projectiles that, if they land in the milk, will be submerged and later explode into a semi-X pattern of projectiles. He regains a small amount of health over time while he's inside the milk between phases, but he is still vulnerable in spite of being invisible. His hitbox is directly above the bottle's neck.
The ways he "throws" the shield depend on the "flavor" of the current barrier. The normal Butter Barrier will be thrown downwards and explode into four butter projectiles that slide across the ground. The Nitro Butter Barrier will let Butter Nezumi rev around the arena at extreme speeds and explodes after hitting a wall twice. The Fire Butter Barrier will lob fire projectiles at Mega Man before exploding into semi-homing giant fireballs. The Ice Butter Barrier will gradually spread outwards before crumbling. The Shock Butter Barrier will constantly send sparks out that increase the hit range of the shield, and Butter Nezumi will try to jump at Mega Man to take advantage of this.
Butter Nezumi is weak to the Wheel Cutter, which pierces through his shield and is a floor tracking weapon just like his original weakness, the Pashiri Gun. After his defeat, Butter Nezumi appears as an NPC in Chateau Chevaleresque.
Pre-Battle Dialogue[edit]
(Milk fizzles from one of the containers)
Mega Man: What the heck...?
(The containment explodes, revealing Butter Nezumi)
Mega Man: Excuse me?
Butter Nezumi: Ah, Mega Man! I've been expecting you.
Butter Nezumi: I apologize for the delay - I had to churn a bit as some training.
Mega Man: I have seen some extremely weird stuff in this festival, but... this?
Butter Nezumi: You act like you're surprised.
Butter Nezumi: You see, I have an apprentice named Milk. They were like a son to me...
Butter Nezumi: Then I had heard that a replica of them had been sent to this festival celebrating you as a 'boss'.
Butter Nezumi: I was deeply offended. I HAD to set right to this injustice
Mega Man: Wait, why would you get offended over that? It was just a hologram...
Butter Nezumi: It was a SYMBOLIC death. You have no respect for a comrade...
Butter Nezumi: I cannot forgive you! We MUST duel!
Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero[edit]
In the end credits montage of MaGMML: Episode Zero, Butter Nezumi makes a brief cameo appearance. He appears out of a Wargate that had opened up in Dr. Cossack's Lab, chasing after Milk (who had also come out of the Wargate and itself was chasing after Toad Man).

Trivia[edit]
- Butter Nezumi is the only tier boss in any MaGMML game to start his boss fight with less HP than his maximum. This is a reference to his source game, where health bars max out at 26 units.
- Butter Nezumi is one of only two tier bosses to have a room with a size larger than 256x224, the other being Jet Man.
- If Butter Nezumi is encountered before Milk, his opening dialogue will still involve Butter Nezumi trying to avenge Milk, but Mega Man will be very confused.
