The Changkey Master is a boss from Make a Good Mega Man Level and its remake, appearing in the Wily stage Dr. Wily's Incinerator Chute. It is an enlarged Tackle Fire that lives in the depths of the Wily Castle's incinerator, possessing a greater number of attacks than its smaller bretheren.

Battle[edit]
Make a Good Mega Man Level[edit]
The fight starts off with the Changkey Master appearing with a fiery burst. After this, it will jump around while fireballs similar to the ones from the Ronrez miniboss shoot up from the lava below the arena. As he jumps around, it uses the following attacks at random, telegraphed by a beeping noise:
- Throwing a Tackle Fire at Mega Man.
- Shooting a bouncy fireball.
- Using the Solar Blaze.
- Shooting fireballs resembling Solar Blaze projectiles that spin around the room, a la Power Stone.
It does not attack on its first, second or fourth jump. After the fourth jump, it'll use an attack every jump.
Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered[edit]
As in the original, the Changkey Master appears in a fiery burst (albeit now floating up from the lava), and jumps around the arena while doing various attacks. However, the rising fireballs from the lava are omitted, and the Changkey Master's attacks have changed to the following:
- Sending three Tackle Fires up into the air, which slowly fall back down after a small delay.
- Dropping a Solar Blaze beneath it; unlike Mega Man's, the delay before it detonates is significantly longer.
- Jumping with a roar sound and temporarily heating the ground it lands on; touching this area will damage Mega Man.
When its health is at 13 points or less, the Changkey Master will jump to the centre of the arena and recover 11 points of health from two Fire Pillars. After this, it repeats the above attacks, but with two extra attacks;
- Performing the firey burst it uses at the battle's start, with the addition of three fireballs that slowly fall from the top of the screen.
- Ramming towards Mega Man and slamming into the wall; this creates two chunks of heat that, on landing, cause the ground to heat up.

Trivia[edit]
- Changkey Master is the only enemy in the original Make a Good Mega Man Level that is susceptible to Top Spin and is not destroyed instantly by it.
- In Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered, the Changkey Master briefly appears as a small black orb when dying, similar to Tackle Fires in Mega Man Powered Up.
