Cheat Mode

Cheat Mode is a recurring mode in the MaGMML series, first appearing in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2. Typically a reward for 100% completion, it allows the player to access cheats such as invincibility, removing bosses' invincibility frames, or even bonus modes like New Game+. The Cheat Menu is accessed from the file select screen after being unlocked.

In order to unlock Cheat Mode in MaGMML2, the player needs to talk to Cheat Man, who shows up right next to Dr. Light's Lab. In Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered, it is unlocked as soon as 100% completion on any file is achieved. In Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, the mode is unlocked by talking to Brainga in the Captain's room. Notably, the only requirement to enter the room is to defeat Pirate Man, making MaG48HMML the first game where the Cheat Menu can be unlocked without 100% completion.

Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, however, has a different approach when it comes to cheats. They can be purchased and activated from Eddie's shop on the Floor 2 of Victor Heights hotel. More cheat options are unlocked as the player progresses through the game. They only apply to any level which was fully completed (i.e. when every Energy Element and every Trickster Token is collected in it). As soon as the player buys out Eddie's entire stock, he shares a secret code that makes cheats applicable everywhere - even in hub areas. MaGMML3 doesn't require reaching 100% completion akin to MaG48HMML: the cheats are available much sooner compared to previous MaGMML games.

Make a Good Mega Man Level 2

All the cheats listed here can be enabled simultaneously, however, after closing the game, the cheats will need to be reactivated when playing the game again.

Invincibility	Makes Mega Man permanently invincible.	Mega Man can still die by falling on pits or getting crushed, or pressing the suicide key (2). In addition, death spikes act as solid blocks. Also, enemies using the Grab Buster will still get health back despite not damaging the player.
Infinite Ammo	All Special Weapons will never run out of ammo.
Burst Chaser	Mega Man's quick movement from Escape Sequence can now be used on every level.
Air Sliding	Mega Man's air sliding from some select stages can now be used in every level.	Mega Man can jump after doing an air slide.
Moonwalking	Self-explanatory. This is the Thriller, etcetera.	Left and Right are reversed and Mega Man walks backwards.
Low Gravity	Permanently gives Mega Man low gravity.
High Gravity	Permanently gives Mega Man high gravity.
Instadeath Mode	Self-explanatory. You will forever only have 1 or less health.
No I-Frames	Now, when Mega Man gets hit, you will have no invincibility frames.
No Boss I-Frames	Now, when a boss is hit, they will have no invincibility frames.
Invisible Player	Mega Man is now very self-conscious and refuses to show himself to the world.	Projectiles will also turn invisible, except for the first frame in which they are spawned.
Hidden Healthbars	This cheat is guarenteed to give you intense anxiety.
Perma Ice Physics	If you REALLY like ice and snow levels, then this cheat is for you.
Crazy Drop Rate	Enemies will always drop an item when they die.
Double Game Speed	The game goes faster now!! Go faster!! Keep going!! Keep moving!! RUN!! RUN!! RUN!!!
Lingering Weapons	Stops Special Weapons from going away on quick weapon switch, allowing for interesting combos.	Oddly enough, Mega Man can't use most of his special weapons while another special weapon projectile is onscreen. It's only possible to get off of Sakugarne using by pausing and switching weapons while this is active.
Huge Weapons	Now, your weapons are GIGANTIC.
Splitting Buster	If your buster shot gets destroyed, then it splits into two more shots.
Zero Buster	Now, your buster has unimaginable power.	Everytime Mega Man shoots his buster, the projectile will be a sprite of Zero that shoots Knight Man sprites.
Enemy Knockback	Hate knockback on yourself? Try it on enemies!	Some bosses and enemies may glitch through the wall, use this at your own risk.
Gravity Flipping	Replaces the Slide button with an on-demand gravity flip.	Using this while fighting any Gravity Man boss crashes the game with an error message. However, this does not happen for Groovity Man, though using it in that boss fight might cause a death.
Vertical Warp	Say goodbye to pits - now, vertical warp is permanently active for every level.	Some areas in some levels loop where they are not supposed to, such as when going down a certain ladder in Cardinal Man's stage.
Boss Explosions	All enemies release a boss explosion when killed.
Eternal Suffering	Your physics are better now.	Mega Man can't jump more than a few pixels unless coming out of a slide, which will cause him to jump extremely high. The standing pose is also changed.
Hyper Knockback	Increases knockback by just a tiny bit.	Mega Man gets knocked up in the air when getting hit by enemies.
The Floor Is Lava	With this on, you'll gradually lose health when on the ground, and regain health when in the air.	Invincibility does not protect you from ground damage.
Free Roaming	Start a new save file with all hidden areas, such as Tier X, unlocked from the start.
New Game+	Start a new save file with all upgrades, Knight Man rewards, and costumes unlocked.
Nitro Man follower	With this on, Nitro Man from Rad Gravity will always be around to help. Except in a few places.
Don't Look Back	Did you ever want to be stalked by those hands from Duwang, but ALWAYS? Well, now you can!
Cursor Curse	Drag around objects onscreen by clicking on them.	Can also drag bosses and NPCs. Named after the level of the same name. Some objects will have their sprites moved around by this but still have their functionality and collision unmoved.
All Bouncy Castle	Applies a modified version of the Bouncy Castle gimmick to every level. USE WITH CAUTION IF YOU HAVE MOTION SICKNESS!!	Not every enemy or boss are affected. Does not apply to very specific areas, such as Outer Space. Both Spring Man and Quake Woman in the main hub also has different dialogue.
Beta Bouncy Castle	Bouncy Castle has the constant bouncing from its beta version. USE WITH EXTEREME CAUTION!!
Proto Man Mode	Play as Proto man! He has his trademark Proto Shield, bigger Charge Shot, and inability to take hits.	Combining this cheat with Bass Mode lets you play as Zero, who has Proto Man's shield and Bass' buster.
Bass Mode	Play as Bass! He has a dash instead of a slide and use his rapid-fire Bass Buster.	Combining this cheat with Proto Man Mode lets you play as Zero, who has Proto Man's shield and Bass' buster.
Mario Mode	Play as Mario from Mario Land in any level you want, in all his buggy glory. Likely to cause crashes.	This version is slightly different to the one from the Mario Land level, in that he can use special weapons and there's special dialogue when using him. Fair warning, he is buggy and can break the game, as it was not intended to be played entirely as Mario. Can be combined with Proto Man Mode and Bass Mode.
Flashman85	Let Flashman85 aka GeminiLaser aka Nathaniel Hoover spice up your life with some new sound effects and music.	Adds different sound effects to weapons as well as several other things, like teleporters. The Flash Man NPC in the main hub is also renamed to Flashman85, and Clown Man in Tier 2 also has different dialogue, among other things.
Meme Restoration	Restores the true, complete fusion of the Scorch Men.	The sprites for the Scorch Men's fusion scene are replaced with crude drawings, similar to the ones seen in the results livestream.
Inner Apocalypse	hello. i feel the need to ping @ Garirrry to tell him of how much Despair his level caused me. it drained me of my heart and soul.	Wily 4's teleporter will lead to an even harder version of the pre-nerf. The name and in-game description are both a reference to the infamous message sent by SnoruntPyro in reaction to the original version of Inner Sanctum.
Ultra MaGMML2	Play the game with an alternate storyline! Only $39.99.	The only changes are dialogue, Wily 0, and Wily Core, parodying Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
Butt Mode	Of all the heroes, none shone brighter than Butt Butt and Proto Butt.	Replaces words with "Butt". A reference to Shovel Knight, which had a similar cheat.
Surprise Bosses	Reminiscent of a certain Game Genie code for a certain Mega Man game certain people know about.	Everytime Mega Man gets hit, a random boss will show up. A second boss won't spawn when Mega Man gets hit while the first boss is still active. In total, there are 82 bosses that can be summoned, including one never seen anywhere else in the full game. Invincibility changes things to where you instead get a surprise boss in cases that would normally cause damage but don't this time. WARNING. SOME BOSSES CAN SOFTLOCK THE GAME, AND THERE ARE CHANCES OF CRASHING. Another fair note of warning, be very cautious when using surprise bosses in a level with autoscroll, as Mega Man may be scrolled off along with the boss, softlocking the game. Green Star Mode	(Lubba voice) Gee Mario, the festival is swarmed with Green Prankster Comets! There's 314 Green Stars! And no using Super Mode!	It adds 314 new collectables to the game. 3 on most levels of the game. There are 3 Green Stars located in the Tier 6 level, Changeable Caverns, however, due to a bug, they are not displayed on the Teleporter and once entering the level again, they can be collected again and again, increasing the number of Green Stars collected. Super Mode is unavailable, even after collecting every Green Nickel. However, you can still collect green stars with other cheat codes active, such as invincibility, air sliding, low gravity, and best of all, cursor curse.
MAGMML1 Rush Jet	Only 2016 kids will remember the good old days. Use this cheat to relive the REAL Rush Jet experience.	Rush Jet immediately leaves as soon as the player is touching his hitbox, which is a parody of MaGMML1's Rush Jet and its infamously finicky tendency to teleport out at the worst possible times due to collision errors.
Music Randomizer	All music tracks in the game are now randomized. Beware of looping victory themes.	Prior to version 1.4, this cheat was combined with Contest Randomizer. It should be noted that music tracks in the challenge tent's music area are not randomized with cheats.
Contest Randomizer	The levels and judge comments are now randomized.	Prior to version 1.4, this cheat was combined with Music Randomizer. The position of the levels and judge comments are randomized.

Cosmic Comet	A Cosmic Comet has spewed out from the depths of Null and Void, and is circling the cruise ship!	The player will be followed in each room by trailing copies that imitate their exact actions and cause damage on contact, like the Trailing Zeros from MaGMML: Episode Zero.
Wacko Comet	A Spark Devil will aggressively pursue you from the left side of the screen.	Spark Devils from MaGMML: Episode Zero's Shocking Wacko Stage will constantly spawn on the left side of the screen.
Boost Mode -E-	Most enemies will move at double speed.
Boost Mode -G-	Most gimmicks will move at double speed.
Tamp Gets Noticed	A lonely Tamp will follow you constantly, trying to give you hugs of pain.	An invincible Tamp will appear to follow the player in all levels.
Shadow Shots A	A shadowy turret will follow you constantly, homing in and shooting bullets at you!	A Shadow Turret that chases the player will appear in every level. Added in v1.1.
Shadow Shots B	A shadowy turret will spin around you in a circle and shoot bullets!	A Shadow Turret that orbits the player will appear in every level. Added in v1.1.
Shadow Shots C	A shadowy turret will move left and right at the top of the screen, shooting bullets at you!	A Shadow Turret that hovers over the top of the screen will appear in every level. Added in v1.1.
Mirror Mode	Flip your entire screen! Your controls will be flipped to compensate. (Note: Will also flip text. To turn this off mid-gameplay, press CTRL+M)

Buddha Mode	Power Cheats	Mega Man's health will never go below 1 HP remaining.	Mega Man can still take damage from normal sources, but they won't be lethal. Pits and being crushed are still lethal, however.
Space Jump	Power Cheats	Gives you an infinite amount of jumps, at the cost of less air control.	When using a Space Jump, Mega Man will automatically move forward.
Bouncy Pits	Power Cheats	Allows Mega Man to survive falling into pits, albeit with damage.	Falling into pits now deals 5 damage to Mega Man and bounces him back out.
Hold Sliding	Power Cheats	Allows Mega Man to infinitely slide as long as you keep holding the key.	Renamed into "Hold Dashing" if Bass Mode is active.
Instant Charging	Power Cheats	Charged weapons will always fire fully-charged shots.	Affects the Mega Buster, Break Dash, and Mix Tape.
Ignore Weapon Locks	Power Cheats	Level-related weapon locks will no longer apply.
Shine Spark	Power Cheats	Gain a speed boost when equipping Break Dash. After enough speed buildup, perform the Shine Spark!	Renamed into the Queen Spark if Castle Rush is equipped.
Elongtro Cable	Power Cheats	The Electro Cable fires much farther. It can also latch onto out of view (but not out of section) solids!
MM9/10 Physics	Power Cheats	Slightly alters physics to be closer to Mega Man 9 and 10. Generally feels more brisk.
Neo Pit Powers	Power Cheats	Adds all of the Neo Pit of Pits upgrades to your inventory, even outside of the Pit.
Dracon Summon	Power Cheats	Lets you summon the Dracon Ride Armor anywhere by pressing UP+SHOOT.
Sniper Summon	Power Cheats	Lets you summon the Sniper Armor anywhere by pressing UP+SHOOT.	If the Sniper Armor is destroyed, Mega Man won't be able to summon it again until they enter another section or die.
Invisible Enemies	Challenge Cheats	Enemies will no longer appear onscreen. You could be attacked at any moment.
2x Enemy Health	Challenge Cheats	All enemies and midbosses will have double the health they usually have. (Bosses aren't affected.)
No Item Drops	Challenge Cheats	Enemies will no longer drop items of any kind randomly.
Random Tripping	Challenge Cheats	You have a random chance to fall over when walking, ruining the game's competitive integrity.	References the infamous "tripping" mechanic from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Status Crash	Challenge Cheats	Nearly every time you take damage, you'll be inflicted with a random status effect.
Buster Blank	Challenge Cheats	Your buster and weapons now have a chance to jam and shoot nothing.
Warp Step	Challenge Cheats	Tip-toeing forward will now warp you forward several blocks.

On The Run	Challenge Cheats	A homing crosshair will always be chasing you. You must have a large bounty, huh...	The crosshair from Crosshair Aware will appear in every level.
Live Trumpy Reaction	Challenge Cheats	Trumpy my favorite guy~ Trumpy he everywhere~ Trumpy he kill you and destroy you~	A window appears in the bottom right corner of the screen, holding a Trumpy, who will occasionally activate their effect, before changing into one of their variants afterwards.
Cucco Rampage	Challenge Cheats	A horde of Cuccos that have untold knowledge of your sins will endlessly attack you.	Damaging Cuccos will constantly fly in from offscreen.

Permanent Ink	Wacky Cheats	Inudates you with an ink that just won't wash off. Gross...	Mega Man will always look like he was hit by an Octone's inkball.
Adware Attacks	Wacky Cheats	We've combed through your search history and found the best ads for you! Enable for constant pestering in all stages!	Ad windows from Malware Man will constantly appear.
Random Hats	Wacky Cheats	All enemies will now have a chance to drop a random hat on death.	The hats are the ones found in Tier 15.
Voice Acting	Wacky Cheats	Adds some light voice acting to the game...?	Adds voice lines from Triggerma's Kirby Voice Acting video.
Sound Randomizer	Wacky Cheats	Randomize every sound! (Warning: May be loud... randomly)
Sprite Randomizer	Wacky Cheats	Randomize many (but not all) sprites! (Epilepsy Warning!)
Bees Mode	Wacky Cheats	What's this? A MaGMML game with an underabundance of bees? My item drops full of BEES can help!	Enemies may drop one of Hornet Man's Hornet Chaser projectiles on death, whenever they would otherwise drop nothing.
