"Spider that crawls on ceilings and falls when megaman is close, if placed on the ground it will jump towards megaman inmediately. When its not on the ceiling it will jump once if megaman is close, otherwise it will jump twice"
―Note in Darspider's code, Megamix Engine

Darspider is an enemy from Mega Man 10. It is a smaller version of Deispider that jumps based on its proximity to enemies.

Darspider was first made available with the Megamix Engine, and was first used in the Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero level String Theory, where it only spawned from Spider Pottons. It went on to appear in the Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level entry Bunker 20XX.

Darspider returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, in the entries Creatively Named Level, Cursed Darkness, and Get Wild, Get Wet. The same game also used it in the Contest Weapon Playground, the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Crawling Castle", "Keep an Eye Out", "Powerless Plant", and "The Science of Dropping", and the Shrine of Nebula room "The Chomp Attacker".

Behavior

Darspider crawls along ceilings until Mega Man draws close to them, at which point it drops to the ground and pursues him by jumping. If Mega Man is far enough away from it, it will only do one jump before pausing, but it will jump twice in a row if it's close enough to him.
