Destroyable Block
Destroyable Blocks, or barriers, are special gimmicks that can only be destroyed by specific weapons. They appear in many different forms throughout the Make a Good Mega Man Level games, often blocking passageways and concealing power-ups. Typically, ineffective weapons will bounce off these blocks rather than pass through.
In earlier games, each Destroyable Block were unique objects with distinct designs; following the release of the Megamix Engine, Destroyable Blocks became a single object whose weakness is set via creation code. Additionally, a more uniform design was given to each block, with only the palette and weapon icon changing between them.

Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero[edit]
Two types of Destroyable Block exist; weapon-specific blocks, and chip-specific blocks. Weapon-specific blocks only receive damage from their corresponding weapon, and ignore the type of chip currently equipped. Chip-specific blocks, however, can be damaged by any weapon as long as the corresponding chip is equipped. These blocks were not part of the Episode Zero devkit, but were instead a custom asset that saw use in multiple levels. A similar gimmick included in the devkit is Meltable Ice; unlike Destroyable Blocks, it is only vulnerable to Flame Chip-enhanced weapons, and cannot drop powerups when melted.
