Gabgyo is an enemy from Mega Man 6. It is a security robot modeled after a fish. Gabgyos come in both a jumping variant and a swimming variant, both of which are covered in this article.
Gabgyo's jumping variant was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entry Napalm Forest and Caves.
Gabgyo returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, with its swimming variant making its debut in the same game. Gabgyos appeared in the entries A Mega Man for All Seasons and Nitrogen Man, as well as the Tier X stage Metallic Ocean, and the Pit of Pits sub-levels "Ancient Town", "Magic Crash-Pit Ride", "Sea Breeze", and "Up And Down". "Magic Crash-Pit Ride" and "Up And Down" only feature the jumping variant, while A Mega Man for All Seasons, Metallic Ocean, "Ancient Town", and "Sea Breeze" only feature the swimming variant; Nitrogen Man features both variants.
Behavior[edit]
Jumping Gabgyos stay hidden at first, but will leap up to Mega Man's position when he gets close before dropping down again. Swimming Gabgyos will swim back and forth within a fixed area.
By default, both Gabgyos are red, but by setting "col = 1" in a Gabgyo's creation code, it will turn yellow.
