- "A girder that remains stationary until Mega Man is under or over it, at which point, it will drop down."
- ―Note in large Girder's code, Megamix Engine
The Girder is a gimmick in Mega Man V, found in Pluto's stage. It is a support beam that drops down when Mega Man gets close to it.
Girders are included in the Megamix Engine, and therefore the devkits for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level.
Behavior[edit]
Girders come in three sizes; small, medium, and large. Regardless of size, they hang in the air, but if Mega Man gets close to them, they will shake and drop down after a second. Although Mega Man can safely use them as platforms, if one falls on him, he will take damage. Unlike in Mega Man V, falling girders will not damage Mega Man if he's standing on them.
Trivia[edit]
- The purple colouring used for Girders is derived from the palette used for Pluto's stage when playing Mega Man V on the Super Game Boy.
