Jewel Man is a Robot Master from Mega Man 9. Originally designed by Dr. Light to cut and polish rocks in a diamond mine, he was tricked into working for Dr. Wily after being offered help from him in wake of his expiration date having passed.

He appears in Make a Good Mega Man Level as an NPC in Tier 3. He appears in the same tier in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where he hosts a minigame that requires shooting a jewel with the Mega Buster to keep it in the air. Shooting the jewel over and over while off the ground causes it to drop bolts, and hitting it twenty times in a row completes the Greed Mode challenge. The more times the jewel is hit subsequently, the more bolts it drops on every hit. Once the jewel lands on the ground, Mega Man's streak is reset.

Additionally, Jewel Man makes an appearance in the entry Identity Crisis, where he is one of four Robot Masters that Mega Man can transform into with the Transmogrifier Weapons System. He reappears in the Tier 9-10 section of Reality Core and the battle against Wily Machine SWORD in a similar manner.

In Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, Jewel Man returns to host the jewel shooting minigame, this time located in Tier 6. This version of the minigame notably is more difficult than in MaGMML2, as the entire floor of the room is made of conveyor belts, which will change direction every time Jewel Man strikes a pose. The minigame otherwise functions identically to its previous incarnation, up to and including an achievement for hitting the jewel twenty times consecutively without it touching the ground.

Notes

  • In MaGMML2, if Mega Man tries to use the Jewel Satellite in the jewel minigame, it will instantly move to orbit Jewel Man instead.
