Mantan.png

Mantan is an enemy from Mega Man 4. It is a robotic manta ray designed for underwater cleaning.

Mantan was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, but it didn't appear anywhere in that game.

Mantan returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries The Dampening and Boil Man, as well as the Wily stage Outer Space, the Tier X stage Metallic Ocean, and the Pit of Pits sub-levels "Cold Water" and "Safe Shallows". It also appeared in the Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level entry Cascade; the same game also includes it as one of many enemies that Don Atetemino can summon during the final boss fight.

In Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, Mantan was used in the entries Radium Man and Skull Secret Zone, as well as the bonus level Reel Man.

Behavior

Mantans will move straight forward, moving slightly up or down when Mega Man gets close enough to them.
