Mega Man, known more commonly as Mega Man 1, is the first game in the classic Mega Man series and the franchise overall. The game launched the franchise by introducing everyone's sweet little blue boy Mega Man and the gameplay that everyone has come to know and love. The cast of Robot Masters from the game only is rivalled by Mega Man 2 in recognizeability and popularity, and several recurring concepts originated in this game, such as Devil bosses, the Copy Robot, and boss refights. The game is farely barebones in plot, only featuring the origin story of Dr. Wily's jealousy towards Dr. Light and theft of his six Robot Masters, leaving Rock and Roll alone as they were housekeeping robots. Rock volunteers to be converted into a fighting robot to help save the world, Dr. Light converts him to Mega Man, and the rest is history.

Representation in MaGMML[edit]

Being an early and simple game, Mega Man 1 has gotten consistent representation in all MaGMML games so far. All of the enemies from the games have been included in every devkit, along with almost every gimmick.

Devkit Assets[edit]

Custom Assets[edit]

  • Every single Robot Master from this game has appeared as a hub NPC in both MaGMML1 and MaGMML2. The Yellow Devil also appears as an NPC in 2.
  • Cut Man appears as a costume in 2.
  • CWU-01P, the boss of the third Wily Castle stage, cameos in Water Ducts, as a fakeout boss before being destroyed by Mecha Bubble Man.
  • The Yellow Devil appeared near the end of the second MaGMML3 devkit boss batch video (where it was jokingly "revealed" to be included in the devkit before exploding), and was later revealed to be the boss of the game's Fortress Guardian Arena.
