The Neon Gravity Switch is a gimmick appearing in the original Make a Good Mega Man Level and its remake. It is a floating orb that destroys unique blocks and spikes when it is itself destroyed. It was created for (and appears in) the entry NEON GRAVITY, as well as the Wily stages Dr. Wily's Incinerator Chute and Flashback Database; Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered removes it from the remade iteration of the former, but adds them to the remade Hall of Fame.
Behavior
Neon Gravity Switches float in the air while slowly blinking. If Mega Man damages them enough, they will be destroyed, which causes them to destroy every instance of a special block in the current section, as well as special spikes. These blocks/spikes are typically used to block the way forward, and hitting the switch often requires using the gravity-warping of a Black Hole or special Ring Rings. Only the Mega Buster can damage Neon Gravity Switches; all other Special Weapons are ineffective.
Notes
- In MaGMML1R, playing with a cheat that locks the player into a single Special Weapon will cause Neon Gravity Switches to instantly vanish when scrolled onscreen, owing to the Mega Buster being their one weakness. This does not apply to Bass Mode, forcing the player to use Rush Coil or Rush Jet to destroy them (as the Bass Buster's shots can't go through walls).
