―Note in Pole Egg's code, Megamix Engine

The Pole Egg is a gimmick from Mega Man 3, found in Gemini Man's stage. It is a large egg that, when destroyed, releases a Pole.

Pole Eggs were first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entry stage Maze of Death, as well as the Wily stage Cannon Deck (though it is absent in the latter's remade version in Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered).

Pole Eggs returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, appearing in the entries Mix & Match, MegaLondo, The Dampening, Forgotten Fortress, and Shovel Knight, as well as the Wily stages Water Ducts and Reality Core, and the Pit of Pits sublevel "Ocean Sickness". Pole Eggs also made an appearance in the Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero level Projectile Party!, though they contained Top Man's tops instead of Poles.

Behavior[edit]

Pole Eggs sit in place, acting akin to a solid piece of land. However, if shot, the egg is destroyed and a Pole is released. Pole Eggs are typically placed together in large clusters. Pole Eggs can be picked up and thrown with the Super Arm.
