Sniper Armor
Sniper Armor is an enemy from Mega Man 2. It is a Returning Sniper Joe in a large mech.
Sniper Armor was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entries City War, Chroma Key and Spiky Meltdown, as well as the Wily stages Cannon Deck and Be the Bigger Person (in Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered, it is absent from the latter stage's redesign).
Sniper Armor returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Cardinal Man, Something Original, Chomp Man, Forgotten Fortress, and Crystal Lab. It also appeared in the remake of City War, as well as the Pit of Pits rooms "Boobeak Trap" and "Magic Crash-Pit Ride". It also appeared in the Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero levels Force Facility and Null and Void; and in the Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level entries Megatroid, Twilight Fortress, and One Night in Xanadu.
In Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, Sniper Armor was used in the entries Not Delivering On Promises, Hunter Tower, DISCHARGEEEE, and Tower of Dimentions; as well as the NEO Pit of Pits sublevel "SCROLL JOES!!", and the Shrine of Nebula room "Sniper Armor Certified". The last of these also features a controllable version of the mech as a gimmick.
Behavior[edit]
Sniper Armors jump straight forward, with brief pauses between jumps. If Mega Man is touching the ground when a Sniper Armor lands, it will shoot a spread of projectiles diagonally downward. Upon defeat, the Returning Sniper Joe piloting the mech will be left behind.

Notes[edit]
- Since the release of the Megamix Engine, Sniper Armor has unique sprites depicting the mech without a rider when one is destroyed with a weapon that leaves a "slash effect" (such as the Slash Claw or Break Dash).
- In the MaGMML2 devkit and Megamix Engine, Sniper Armor is referred to as "MM2 Mech".
