Sniper Joe
- "Please don't."
- ―Note in Sniper Joe's code, Megamix Engine
Sniper Joe is an enemy from the original Mega Man. It is a humanoid robot with a shield and an arm cannon.
Sniper Joe was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entries Sky Ziggurat, Maze of Death, Spiky Meltdown, and NEON GRAVITY, as well as the Wily stage Be the Bigger Person. In Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered, it is removed from Be the Bigger Person's redesign, and added to that of Hall of Fame.
It returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in 11 entries. It also appeared in the Wily stage Inner Sanctum, the Tier X stage So Good, and the Pit of Pits room "Maze of Death?". Sniper Joe went unused in Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, but one still appears as an NPC in Tier 8, reading from a "Choose Your Joe Adventure" book with multiple endings.
In Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, Sniper Joe appeared in the entries X6Meme, Ultimate Level, Hunter Tower, Cutman's New Warehouse, Disobedience of Superior Machines, Air man's ultimate weapon, and Suzy Love. It also saw use in the Weapon Tutorials, and in the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Blader and Friends", "Megaman Crushes the Competition!", and "SCROLL JOES!".

Behavior
By default, Sniper Joes will stand still with their shields raised. They will periodically lower their shields and shoot three small projectiles straight forward, raising their shield again shortly after shooting the third projectile. If Mega Man tries to jump or run past them, they will jump backwards to stay ahead of him.
In the Megamix Engine (and all games using it), Sniper Joes behave much more like their original Mega Man iterations; firing anywhere between one to four projectiles at a time and occasionally jumping straight up. While jumping, their shields will not block attacks. Additionally, if a Sniper Joe blocks an attack, the length of time it takes for them to jump or shoot will reset.

Notes
- In MaGMML2, Sniper Joe's projectiles use the generic enemy bullet graphic as opposed to their original small, green-tinted bullets.
