The Sparkman Platform is a gimmick in Mega Man 3, found in Spark Man's stage. It is a cylindrical platform with an arrow pointing upwards.

Sparkman Platforms were first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where they appeared in the entries Sunset Siege, Wily Combo, and Research Facility, as well as the Wily stage Flashback Database.

Sparkman Platforms returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where they appeared in 10 entries, as well as the Wily stage Reality Core, the Tier X stage Swiss Hotel, the Pit of Pits sub-levels "Citadel Attic", "Gambly Night", "To the top", "Typical Miniboss Fights", and "Vu", and in Null and Void. They also appeared in the Make a Good 24 Hour Mega Man Level Wily stage Up 'n' Duck and the Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 Judge Application Level Space Crusade.

Behavior[edit]

Sparkman Platforms are solid on all sides. Standing on the top will cause it to fly upwards, stopping when it hits either a ceiling or an invisible stopper. If Mega Man is standing on it when it reaches a ceiling, he will either fall off the platform (in MaGMML1 and MaGMML3) or be crushed (in MaGMML2 and MaGMML1R). When the platform hits the ceiling or stopper, it will slowly float back down to its starting position.

The creation code value "acc" can be used to customize the platform's vertical acceleration. The default value is 0.15.
