- "I hope you're having a good day."
- ―Star Man, talking to Mega Man.
Star Road is a Tier X level in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2. It takes some inspiration from the Rainbow Road stages in the Mario Kart franchise.
Strategy[edit]
The first room introduces Mega Man to the circling Star Lifts, one of the main gimmicks of the stage. After those, he encounters the first Squidroid RGB which fires a quick burst of seven rainbow-colored balls in an upward arc at Mega Man. Simply shooting it before it fires or staying on the move should keep the player safe. Below the Squidroid RGB is a secret passage for the first Noble Nickel; it can be accessed through a fake wall to the left.
Moving up, Mega Man encounters the first Star Cannon firing a large, rebounding projectile that slows down after a while, then explodes into five smaller projectiles going off in different directions. The Star Cannon's shots can be destroyed. At the top of the ladders waits the first Duper Star which falls from above, then bounces on the ground towards Mega Man at high speed. It's easy to find sweet spots where the Duper Star bounces above Mega Man harmlessly until either it's shot enough times or self-destructs after several jumps.
Some time later Mega Man finds another ladder leading down. Using the Rush Coil, Rush Jet, Super Arrow, or Wire Adaptor to get to the ledge above, however, he can find a small challenge for another Noble Nickel. Down that ladder and to the left is yet another Noble Nickel to claim. The remaining Noble Nickels can be easily spotted along the main path through the rest of the level, requiring some careful maneuvering along the circling star platforms. Several enemy and platform challenges later, Mega Man encounters Star Man who hands over the Energy Element without a fight.
- Star Man was intended to be included as a boss fight, but this was abandoned due to time constraints, resulting in his status as an NPC at the end.
