Sumatran is an enemy from Mega Man 5. It is a security robot modeled after a tiger.
Sumatran was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entries Napalm Forest and Caves and Maze of Death, as well as the Wily stage Flashback Database.
Sumatran returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Mix & Match, Jungle Base, and AD 2101, as well as the Wily stage Reality Core, the Tier X stage Star Road, and the Pit of Pits sub-levels "Logan's Runner", "Lyrickrolled", and "Tselinoyarsk 20XX". It went unused as an enemy in Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, but a Sumatran can be found on the SS Elroy as an NPC outside the Kickboxing Club. Though initially static, it will move progressively faster as more Energy Elements are collected.
In Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, Sumatran appeared in the entry An Ice Cave in Russia, in the Weapon Tutorials, and in the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Block Party", "Les Cles De Fort Boyard", and "Meow Moonbase". A Sumatran NPC also sometimes appears in the Victor Heights bar, vibrating faster as more Energy Elements are collected (it claims to have drank [Collected Elements / 2] cups of coffee).

Behavior
Sumatrans will sit still at first. After a certain amount of time, they will leap forward, performing an additional leap if Mega Man is close enough, before waiting to leap again.
By default, Sumatrans are orange, but by setting "col = 1" in a Sumatran's creation code, it will turn white.
