Yudon is an enemy from Mega Man 5. It is a giant missile-shooting robot.

Yudon was first made available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Airflow Hubble, Poorly Named Level, Lava Factory, and Aurora Man, as well as the secret level Twilight Lodge, the Wily stage Reality Core, and the Pit of Pits sub-level "Logan's Runner". It went on to appear in the Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level entries Volcanic Facility and Tesla Coil.

Although Yudon returned for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, it didn't appear in any entries in an unmodified form. It would, however, still see use in the Tier X stage Thermae Man, and the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Having the Guts to Hover Like This" and "Laser Precision".

Behavior[edit]

Yudons will fire missiles at a steady rate, waiting to fire more missiles if three are currently on-screen. Most weapons can only damage Yudons if aimed at their heads.

Yudons have two creation code values, both of which provide aesthetic changes:

  • col - Determines the Yudon's color scheme. Leaving the value as 0 (the default value) makes it red, while setting the value to 1 gives it a color scheme based on its appearance in Mega Man for the Game Gear.
  • missileCol - Determines the color of the Yudon's missiles. Leaving the value as 0 (the default value) makes them green, while setting it to 1 makes them purple. If "col" is set to 1, the Yudon's secondary color scheme will match its missiles.
