Shield Guard was first available with the release of the [[Megamix Engine]], and thusly appears in the devkits for ''[[Make a Good Mega Man Level 3]]'' and ''[[Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level]]''.

==Behavior==
Shield Guards fly straight forward, turning around when they hit a wall or an invisible stopper. Only a select few weapons can damage it from the front, but it is fully vulnerable from behind. Notably, however, Shield Guards are roughly twice as slow as other Shield Attackers, and their shields can be knocked off with the [[Break Dash]] or even a [[Mega Buster|Charge Shot]], rendering them vulnerable from all sides.
