The '''Spotlight''' is a gimmick from ''Mega Man X2'', appearing in Magna Centipede's stage. It is a large flashing spotlight that triggers various gimmicks in the stage once it detects an intruder.

Spotlights appear in ''[[Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero]]'' as a gimmick in the stage [[Vertical Hunger]]. Like before, it triggers other gimmicks, though ones relatively simpler compared to those in ''X2''.

==Behavior==
Spotlights travel a short distance either horizontally or vertically, and are blocked by the stage terrain and special background tiles that can be used to hide from them. If one detects [[Zero]], every spotlight in the current section will vanish as an alarm plays. Any onscreen [[Alerton]]s will be activated, and [[Spotlight Block]]s will either appear or disappear depending on their colour. After a few seconds, the alert will be lifted and the spotlights will reappear.
