The '''Top Lift''' is a gimmick in ''[[Mega Man 3]]'', found in [[Top Man]]'s stage. It is a large spinning top that falls/rises from the top/bottom of the screen.

Top Lifts were first made available in the devkit for the original ''[[Make a Good Mega Man Level]]'', where they appeared in the entries [[Wily Combo]] and [[Hard to See Land]].

Top Lifts returned in the devkit for ''[[Make a Good Mega Man Level 2]]'', but the only entry stage to use them was [[Quint Stage]]. It did, however, make further appearances in the [[Tier X (MaGMML2)|Tier X]] stage [[Swiss Hotel]], and in [[Null and Void]]. It was also used in the ''[[Make a Good 24 Hour Mega Man Level]]'' entry [[Nauseous Greenhouse]].

==Behavior==
Top Lifts travel either up or down the screen, and if [[Mega Man]] is standing on one, he will shift back and forth across its surface as it spins. Top Lifts are spawned at regular intervals from Top Lift Spawner objects, and by default will either go down if the spawner is placed on the top half of the screen, or up if the spawner is placed on the bottom half.

Top Lift Spawners have two creation code variables that affect their Top Lifts:
* myTopSpeed - The speed and direction of the spawned Top Lifts.
* waitTime - How many frames pass before another Top Lift is spawned.
