Captain Viridian is the main protagonist of the PC game VVVVVV. He is the captain of the D.S.S. Souleye, and has the ability to traverse areas by reversing his own gravity.

He appears in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2 as a boss in Sector Upsilon 6, where he pilots a mech similar in appearance to an Octoper OA.

Battle

There is no solid ground in Captain Viridian's arena; Mega Man constantly flips up and down due to gravity switchers on the top and bottom of the room. Captain Viridian himself follows a very simple pattern; his mech will float up and down, periodically shooting three mint-colored energy balls at Mega Man. The mech does not take damage anywhere aside from the cockpit.

When Captain Viridian's health reaches 28, he will float below the screen, where he cannot be reached. A series of square projectiles will then fly from the right side of the screen to the left. The square projectiles always move in a fixed formation, and Captain Viridian will come back onto the screen after the attack is finished. He will then continue using the same pattern as before.
