Kakinbatank is an enemy from Mega Man 9. It is a large tank-like robot that hides behind a sturdy shield.

Kakinbatank was first made available with the Megamix Engine, and subsequently the devkits for all games using it. The first game to use it was Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, in the stage String Theory. It reappeared in Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level in the levels blainz and Pandora's Parlor, as well as a brief appearance in the game's Weapon Tutorials.

Behavior[edit]

Kakinbatanks sleep behind their shield, but will wake up and move forwards if disturbed by Mega Man shooting the shield. When they're close enough to Mega Man, they push their shield down in an attempt to hit him with it. Afterwards, they attack by frequently shooting arcing projectiles at Mega Man.

By default, Kakinbatanks are red, but by setting "col = 1" via creation code, their colour will change to green.
