The Icicle is a gimmick from Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge, found in Ice Man's stage. It is an icicle that forms on ceilings before dropping to the ground, where the top can be used as a platform.
Icicles were first made available with the release of the Megamix Engine, and appeared in the devkits for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level. In the latter game, it appeared in the entries Exoplanet Everest and Ice Treatment Facility, as well as the Cartel Hideout stage Pandora's Parlor.
Behavior
Icicles slowly form after a certain number of frames pass, and once fully crystalised they drop downwards. If Mega Man touches one while it falls, he will take damage from it, and any enemies underneath it will be instantly destroyed. However, once it lands on solid ground, Mega Man can safely jump on them and use them as platforms.
In creation code, the "appearTime" variable can be changed to affect when an Icicle starts to form.
