The Mega Mech Shark is a fortress boss from Mega Man 9, fought at the end of the second Wily Stage, and in the Special Stage as the final miniboss. True to its name, it is a gigantic robot shark; large enough that the battle against it is split into three parts, each part focusing on an individual part of the body.
The Mega Mech Shark is one of the devkit bosses present in the Megamix Engine, and is set to appear as a devkit boss in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level. It is also the final boss of the engine's Example Game if the difficulty is set to Hard.

Battle
The Megamix Engine allows more freedom with how the Mega Mech Shark is used; the phases can be combined in unique ways (such as having four middle segments, or a second tail in the place of a head), and they can even function simultaneously if used in a longer room. All phases will slowly bob up and down during the battle.
Tail
The tail will start the battle by opening a hatch (which is the weak point of the phase) and firing three homing missiles. The hatch will remain closed until all three missiles have either been destroyed or scrolled off-screen.
Middle
The middle of the body does not attack Mega Man directly; instead, it drops dolphin robots from its two dome-shaped hatches, which will move in Mega Man's direction. The dome-shaped hatches are the weak points of the phase, and health is split between the two.
Head
The head will periodically open its mouth to shoot four lasers before closing its mouth again. The weak point of this phase is its open mouth.

Trivia
- The Mega Mech Shark was the final devkit boss revealed for MaGMML3, being revealed at the end of the final Devkit Boss Rush video.
- Its presence in the video serves as part of a reference to Tinker Knight's battle from the game Shovel Knight. The showcase of the Mega Mech Shark is preceded by the showcase of Bubble Man, who initially uses the Mega Man 2 boss music. When the water in the room drains and reveals the water jetpack Bubble Man uses to move on land, the music switches to the Shovel Knight track "The Schemer" (the theme that plays when fighting Tinker Knight by himself). The following showcase of the Mega Mech Shark is accompanied by the Shovel Knight track "The Destroyer" (which plays when fighting the Tinker Tank, Tinker Knight's giant mech). After the Mega Mech Shark is defeated, Bubble Man falls out of it, implying he was the one piloting the machine.
