The Wave Man Jetski is a gimmick in Mega Man 5, found in Wave Man's stage. It is a jetski that Mega Man can use to cross long stretches of water.

The Wave Man Jetski was first made available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Rush City and Beneath Sand and Rock as well as the Wily stage Inner Sanctum, and the Pit of Pits sublevels "Industrious Indignation" and "Water Boat Fast".

Behavior

Wave Man Jetskis sit in place until Mega Man touches them; once he does, he sits in it as it carries him forwards through the level. While on the jetski, Special Weapons are disabled, leaving only a small gun with the same power as the Mega Buster as the only means of attack. Though the jetski always moves forwards, Mega Man can slow it down, speed it up, and jump in the air with it. It will also stop when confronted with a miniboss. Upon hitting a Wave Man Jetski Stopper object, the jetski will explode, throwing Mega Man off of it.
