Maze of Death is the 9th place entry in Make a Good Mega Man Level. The player must navigate several branches of a large maze in order to destroy a series of barriers blocking the exit. Despite a screen count that is only slightly above average (34 screens, some of which are skippable), Maze of Death is widely considered to be the longest submission in the contest due to the amount of backtracking required to destroy every barrier. Maze of Death is also noteworthy for its high level of difficulty (hence the three extra lives next to the level's entrance in the Tier 3 hub), puzzle-oriented challenges, use of player-created shortcuts in lieu of checkpoints, and divisiveness among judges and players alike as a "love it or hate it" level.

Recent Updates

  • July 9, 2022 - As of very recently, all Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 levels have been scored. Stay tuned for the announcement of the long-awaited results stream!
  • September 6, 2021 - Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level has been released, at long last! This of course, means several new articles will need to be created for stages and bosses, and existing articles relevant to 48 Hour (such as weapons and devkit assets) need to be updated.
  • July 18, 2020 - Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero has been out for a few weeks now, and many new articles for stages, bosses, enemies etc. will need to be created. Existing articles should also be updated with information relating to Episode Zero, such as devkit asset appearances and enemy damage tables.
  • September 12, 2019 - We've moved servers. Let us know if everything works!
  • May 26th, 2019 - Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered has been released! This means that many Make a Good Mega Man Level articles will need to be updated with info about the remake, and speculative or future-tense content relating to the remake should be changed to present-tense (and updated if the information listed doesn't match up with the remake). This is especially important for pages related to Tier Bosses, fortress stages, and postgame content.
