- "Sorry, I'm absent, because someone decided to destroy my havoc-wreaking code and reprogram me for children. Dr. Light! To compensate for this, I've left you a Metal Man instead."
- ―Candy Man, in Candy Panic.
Metal Man is a boss from Mega Man 2. He is the first robot built entirely by Dr. Wily, and was designed as a combat robot armed with sharp sawblades.
Metal Man first appeared in Make a Good Mega Man Level as an NPC in Dr. Light's Lab, bragging about his Metal Blade. In Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, he was added as a devkit boss, and appears in Candy Panic and Quint Stage. He also appears as an NPC in front of the entrance to the Tier 1 hub.

Battle
Metal Man runs in place and jumps either when Mega Man shoots, or after a certain length of time has passed. When jumping, Metal Man will do one of three things:
- Jump very high and throw three Metal Blades at Mega Man one after another.
- Jump decently high and throw two Metal Blades at Mega Man one after another.
- Jump very low and throw a single Metal Blade at Mega Man.
If Mega Man gets close to Metal Man, he will jump away to the other side of the screen, and throw down a Metal Blade at him from the peak of his jump. This can be used to effectively lock him into jumping around by rapidly running back and forth through the arena. If a Conveyor from Mega Man 2 is present in the arena, Metal Man will reverse its direction at regular intervals, signified with a bright flash and sound effect.
Notably, Metal Man is destroyed in one hit not just by his own Metal Blades if they are reflected back at him, but any player projectile that uses the Metal Blade's sprites.
