- "A block that drops from the ceiling, landing on the ground. If it hits Mega Man while falling, it will damage him."
- ―Note in Mercury Block's code, Megamix Engine
The Mercury Block is a gimmick from Mega Man V, found in Mercury's stage. It is a pink block that drops from the ceiling.
Mercury Blocks are included in the Megamix Engine, as well as the devkits for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level. They also appeared in the Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero stage Null and Void.
Behavior
Mercury Blocks sit idly, often obstructing Mega Man's path. They can be destroyed or safely used as platforms, but if Mega Man is under a falling Mercury Block, he will take damage from it. Mercury Blocks can be spawned with Mercury Block Spawner objects, which will continuously spawn them at a regular rate. The Super Arm is able to pick up Mercury Blocks and use them as ammunition.
Trivia
- In earlier versions of the Megamix Engine, Mercury Blocks couldn't be used as Super Arm ammunition.
