The Commando Mine is a gimmick in Mega Man 10, found in Commando Man's stage. It is a small landmine that detonates when provoked via foreign contact.
Commando Mines were first included in the Megamix Engine, and subsequently the devkits for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level.
Behavior
Commando Mines sit in place, and will do nothing if left alone. If touched by Mega Man or any other entity (including projectiles from both enemies and Mega Man), they explode and delete a number of tiles beneath them. Any entities hidden by the tiles will be inactive while the tiles exist, but will become active when the mine is detonated.
