Zomburg is an enemy from Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, appearing in the Tier X stage Goblins n' Ghasts. It is a robotic Grim Reaper that hides underground and frequently rises to attack. Zomburg reappears in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 as an enemy Death Man can summon during the latter's boss fight in Tier 13.

Behavior

Zomburgs will frequently dig themselves up from the ground (telegraphed by the appearance of a mound of dirt) and walk back and forth across a strip of terrain, turning around if they reach a wall. Though they lack weapons and are destroyed with one shot from any weapon, they deal higher than average contact damage to Mega Man. No matter how many Zomburgs are destroyed, more will always appear so long as Mega Man remains in their general area (though after a certain number of Zomburgs are onscreen, no more will appear until at least one is destroyed).

Zomburgs come in two colours, purple and orange. Purple Zomburgs will walk off cliffs while orange Zomburgs will turn around at them.

Trivia

  • Zomburgs are based on the Skeleton Murderer (a.k.a. Grim Reaper) enemy from the arcade game Ghouls n' Ghosts.
