Defeat the Giant Spear Man! is the third level of Chapter 1 in Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero. After climbing out of Gusty Gorge, Zero encounters the greedy treasure-hunter Wario, who offers to give him an Energy Element in exchange for defeating the Giant Spear Man and his gang of assorted Wario Land enemies. The level lacks any major gimmicks at first; being a simple platforming level with a Wario Land 2 skin, where Zero traverses across a beach harbor and its two buildings, fighting the Giant Spear Man three times, but after the third fight does the level give homage to Wario Land 4 and quickly becomes a mad rush back to the start under a time limit.

Yamato Man | (Giant Spear Man (1)): Giant Spear Man?
Sounds like you can hit him really easily if you aim your shots downwards when you're airborne, even if they're protected. You could even camp out on the edge and aim from below without any risk, because he can't ever reach there! Let them be a lesson: When it comes to the battlefield, never have a comfort zone you cannot leave. (Giant Spear Man (2)): Giant Spear Man? Again?! Well, make sure you stay on the opposite level of where he is and aim your buster respectfully. If you wanna be real brave, get behind that spear's end when he launches it for a chance to get in more damage! His chains don't deal any damage, but even if they did, they still wouldn't hurt nearly as much as the chains of fate... (Giant Spear Man (3)): Giant Spear Man? Another one?! Looks like this one's got plenty of tricks up their sleeve. Get some distance when he tries to shoot fire at you, and only jump and dash when the fire wave starts moving! Make sure to get rid of the miniature versions of him that the owl throws at you before dealing with the big one. They're as annoying as any other children I've come across! |
