Princess

Princess is a character originating from Novas Aventuras de Megaman, a Brazilian comic infamous in the Mega Man community.
In this game however, she is a competitor in the "6th Worldwide Sponsored Robot Tournament"... for only one Tier before being unceremoniously disqualified after Ernest Will catches her for cheating with fake Tier Ranks, due to claiming she had already gained 20 of them. Following her dropping from the tournament, she is seen outside the Magic Card Casino, not allowed entry and mainly sulking her defeat. After attaining 13 Tier Ranks, she suddenly disappears. After gaining all 15 and beginning the finale, it turns out she was kidnapped by Dr. Regal due to mistaking her for Roll, and plotted to brainwash her to smear Mega Man's name. She is saved thanks to 'Ernest' arriving in the Wily Jet, landing face first into the ground and taken to safety while still tied up. She isn't seen again as a NPC after clearing Wily Stadium. However, she (or a simulation of her) does show up as part of the Ernest Jet's Bait Bobber attack, being slammed into the ground by the Ernest Jet and dying with a Robot Master explosion.
In the Bass Route, however, she has a... different role. Having an encounter with Bass following his first Rank, he gets the security after her by making yell out she has 20 Ranks instead of 15, raising suspicion on her legitimacy. She escapes, with the guards on her tail. It isn't until the after defeating Regal and entering the finals that her fate is revealed. Posing as Mega Man, she takes his place at the ceremony, where Bass tries to accuse "Mega Man"'s cheating. Instantly seeing through the disguise, Bass reveals the pretender underneath. As it turns out, Princess evaded capture and ran into Mega Man, who fell into a pit of spikes and was unable to continue competing. As the other contestants accuses Princess of being a cheater, she goes off on all of them (except Presto). Bass, who entered the tournament solely to fight Mega Man and now denied his sole desire, goes nuts on Princess, mauling her to death with her chip destroyed as a sign of her being killed for good.
Triva
- According to original plans with José Roberto Pereira, Princess was supposed to kill off the entire cast of the comic, including the Mega Man characters so Princess could take over the story. Once Pereira was found out, he was fired and Princess was written out of the story.
- While Princess's disqualification was for legit reasons, the fact it was due to 'illegitimate Tier Ranks' also serves as foreshadowing for how Wily originally planned to humiliate Mega Man on live TV.
- In the Ernest Jet fight, after using the Bait Bobber attack to kill her once, all subsequent uses on that save file will use a blue corpse-like Princess with shadowed eyes. This is a reference to Pizza Tower, in which The Doise (a boss who replaces The Noise in the latter's campaign) will be dead on all subsequent refights, complete with blue coloring.
