Tier Rank
Tier Ranks are an item introduced in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3. They are medals that act as goals for contestants in the Worldwide Sixth Sponsored Robot Tournament, and possession of all of them is required to be inducted into the finals. Unlike previous games which progressed the story at certain Energy Element total thresholds, the story of MaGMML3 progresses with each Tier Rank that is collected.
Each Tier Rank is typically held by the current tier's boss, who is inaccessible without first collecting a certain amount of Energy Elements from the tier's simulations. The Rank is then dropped by the boss upon their defeat. The exception to this rule is Tier 15's Rank; because it has no Tier Boss, earning it instead requires obtaining all the Energy Elements from the top ten levels, then speaking to Bright Man at the very top of the tier.
Though their role is largely limited to "plot coupons", the Tier Ranks play a minor role in the final battle, whereupon Mega Man (or Proto Man) uses them to boost the power of the Rush Bike and overpower the Wily Jet. In Bass Mode, Bass outright rejects the Ranks' powerup and settles for beating Wily through his own anger.

Notes
- Within MaGMML3's plot, a number of Tier Ranks Mega Man obtains are said to have been planted by Dr. Wily as part of an intended means of framing him for cheating; of these, the Ranks for Tier 1, Tier 6, and Tier 7 are explicitly identified as such.
- Though distinct from Energy Elements, Tier Ranks are internally counted as such, and contribute to a given tier's Energy Element total.
