- "Look around you, at your royal subjects. The broken, trashed... I collected them all, those YOU sent here."
- ―Repair Man, Make a Good Mega Man Level 3
Repair Man is a Robot Master from the fangame Mega Man Rocks!. Like his namesake, he is a robot who can repair and restore machinery, primarily through his Repair Blast weapon. Dr. Wily created him as one of eight Robot Masters in his dastardly plot to kidnap Eric Ruth and have him program his robots.
Repair Man appears in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 as a Tier Boss. Here, his moveset has been upgraded from his original Mega Man Rocks! battle.

Game Appearances[edit]
Mega Man Rocks![edit]
Repair Man is one of the eight Robot Masters. His stage takes place in a factory with conveyor belts and floating battery enemies. In battle, Repair Man attacks by throwing wrenches in an arc and jumping from one side of the screen to the other. Occasionally, he will fire a Repair Blast straight upwards to recover a small amount of health.
Repair Man is weak to Fire Man's Fire Balloon, and his Repair Beam is the weakness of Anchor Man.
Make a Good Mega Man Level 3[edit]
Repair Man appears as the Tier Boss of Tier 2, the Scrapyard. He is incensed by Mega Man's presence owing to the robots he destroys as collateral damage in his adventures, and is eager to fight him (despite admitting that Tier Bosses aren't supposed to be biased).
Repair Man's arena is two screens wide, and takes place in an open area filled with junk piles. His strategy is to jump towards one of these junk piles, use his Repair Blast on it, then attack Mega Man. The order he performs these two actions varies, and sometimes Repair Man will eschew attacking in lieu of jumping to another pile immediately. His attacks are randomised, but are weighted based on the distance between him and Mega Man at the time:
- Tossing a volley of arcing wrenches aimed at Mega Man. Repair Man will always use this attack at the start of the fight, and is more likely to use it when the two are very far apart.
- Throwing three large wrenches straight ahead. Repair Man is more likely to use this if he and Mega Man are very close together.
- Throwing an arcing spread of five wrenches into the air. Repair Man is more likely to use this if he and Mega Man are moderately far apart from each other.
- Flinging a large wrench that spins in the air and returns to Repair Man like a boomerang. He will never use this if Mega Man and himself are far enough away from each other.
When a Repair Blast lands on a junk pile, it will be reassembled as a weakened iteration of a Docbaton, a Shield Guard, or a Shuhorn. All three enemies will attack in the same way as their normal counterparts, though Shuhorn cannot fire projectiles. Destroying these enemies will not permanently kill them, but instead causes them to crumble back to junk, waiting for Repair Man to rebuild them again.
Upon his defeat, Repair Man appears as an NPC in the Magic Card Casino with most of the other defeated Tier Bosses, where he is trying to repair a broken slot machine.
Pre-Battle Dialogue[edit]
Character | Dialogue |
---|---|
Repair Man | Aha! Here he comes, make way for the King! |
Mega Man | ...who are you speaking to? |
Repair Man | You, of course! His majesty, the King!... The Despot of Disposal! |
Mega Man | What the-?! Hey! |
Repair Man | Look around you, at your royal subjects. The broken, trashed... I collected them all, those YOU sent here. We Tier Bosses aren't supposed to be biased, but YOU... you make my lubricant boil. We "scrap bots" are the ones picking up the pieces of the "Wily Wars"... So, in the name of the "wrecked" everywhere... I hope your warranty is up to date! |
Pre-Battle Dialogue (Proto Man Mode)[edit]
Character | Dialogue |
---|---|
Repair Man | Aha! Here he comes! A challenger to the King's throne! |
Proto Man | ...Challenger? |
Repair Man | Yes! To Mega Man's throne... forged from forsaken scrap and steemed in the oil of the innocent! |
Proto Man | ...Sometimes, fighting is inevitable. I won't apologize for that. |
Repair Man | You think that makes your actions any more moral? Think again. Today, your sins will return to claim you. We Tier Bosses aren't supposed to be biased, but YOU... you make my lubricant boil. I gathered your silent victims to give them a chance at true justice... So, in the name of the "wrecked" everywhere... I hope your warranty is up to date! |
Pre-Battle Dialogue (Bass Mode)[edit]
Character | Dialogue |
---|---|
Repair Man | Aha! Here he comes, the Emperor of Destruction himself! |
Bass | Heh. At least the trash knows greatness when they see it. |
Repair Man | Greatness...? GREATNESS?! You call yourself great, for sending those you deem "weak" to these forsaken piles?! |
Bass | Yes? You don't like that, maybe they should've put up more of a fight. |
Repair Man | Oh, but they will... thanks to me. I gathered the fallen. The scrapped. I've given them a second chance. We Tier Bosses aren't supposed to be biased, but YOU... I feel nothing but hate for you. You scrap us, just to sate your selfish desire to prove yourself... So, in the name of the "wrecked" everywhere... I hope your warranty is up to date! |
