Discharge Man is a Robot Master from Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, fought at the end of DISCHARGEEEE. He is a gray robot who can generate huge amounts of electricity and release it in the form of a protective shield.
Battle
Discharge Man has a randomized attack pattern, but mostly relies on using an electric barrier to protect himself. While the barrier blocks a majority of weapons, Discharge Man himself remains vulnerable, thus penetrating weapons (and non-penetrating weapons fired point-blank) can pass through the barrier and harm him directly.
Discharge Man can use any of the following attacks at random:
- Surround himself with his electric barrier, if it is not already active. Discharge Man will always begin the fight with this move.
- Leap twice while shooting electric orbs with each jump.
- Fire the electric barrier (if it is active) straight ahead.
- Perform a dive kick at Mega Man that bounces him off the floor.
- Perform a high jump towards Mega Man's location. If the barrier is currently active, he will always fire it straight forwards upon landing.
- Fire an aimed electric orb from the ground. This attack is only used if Discharge Man's barrier is not currently active.
If Discharge Man is near Mega Man while unprotected, he will always jump backwards and generate the barrier upon landing. This behavior can be used to exploit his AI, as if he jumps backwards against a wall (and Mega Man is standing close enough), he will continue to jump backwards in an infinite loop, never generating the barrier upon landing. If Mega Man jumps or moves too far away from him, the loop will be broken and he will continue to fight as normal.
