Plant Man is a Robot Master from Mega Man 6. He was originally created by Dr. Pedro Astil as the keeper of a botanical garden, but was modified for combat for the First Annual Robot Tournament. In the tournament, he was captured and reprogrammed by Mr. X, who was later revealed to be Dr. Wily.

Plant Man makes an appearance in Make a Good Mega Man Level as an NPC located in the attic of Dr. Light's Lab. He was later included in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, but was not used in any of the entries. Due to this, he only appears in the Arena. He also appears as an NPC in front of Tier 7. His first appearance as a boss in an actual stage was in the Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 Judge Application Level Gate 303.

Like all MaGMML2 devkit bosses, Plant Man returns in the Megamix Engine (where he appears as one of the eight Robot Masters in the Example Game), and was available as a devkit boss in all games using it, including Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, the latter of which used him in the entries Perilous Mountain and Void Quest. While a modified version of Plant Man known as "Hyper Plant Man" appeared in the MaGMML3 Judge Application Level Just a Judge Level (and was kept when the level was ported to MaGMML3), Plant Man's only other unmodified appearance in MaGMML3 is in Rec Man, as part of the Remnant Rumble. He also appears as an NPC in Tier 12.

Battle

Plant Man has a simple pattern. He begins by summoning his Plant Barrier which orbits him and protects him from damage. He then jumps to Mega Man and shoots his Plant Barrier. When the Plant Barrier leaves the screen, he will run to Mega Man's location and repeat the process.

In the Megamix Engine's example game, Plant Man can fire shots from his buster on Hard Mode. He also speeds up slightly to be more of a threat.
