- "My weapon is simply unstoppable. Who needs other special weapons when you have Metal Blade?"
- ―Metal Man, being a cool robot.
The Metal Blade (メタルブレード Metaru Burēdo) is the Special Weapon of Metal Man, hailing from Mega Man 2. It is a sharp sawblade that can be fired in eight directions. It is notorious for being extremely overpowered in its home game, especially compared to the other weapons native to 2.

Make a Good Mega Man Level[edit]
The Metal Blade was a weapon voted into Make a Good Mega Man Level by the Talkhaus community, tying with 9 other weapons in vote count (3 votes); the tie was broken by putting the weapons in a random number generator and picking the first five weapons on the generated list (the other four weapons chosen this way were Gemini Laser, Solar Blaze, Black Hole Bomb, and Magic Card). To prevent it overshadowing the other weapons, it has been nerfed significantly; losing half of its ammo and its enemy-piercing effect. It is the weakness of Justice Man, the Mechazaurus Wily Archive. It is also one of Birdo's weaknesses.

Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered[edit]
In Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered, Metal Blade returned with the changes made to the weapon in the Megamix Engine (see below). It is no longer Justice Man's weakness, though it is the weakness of the new fortress boss Shadow Gacha.

Megamix Engine[edit]
The Metal Blade is included in the Megamix Engine alongside (almost) every MaGMML weapon up to Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level. Notably, the weapon now fires from Mega Man's hand when he throws it, and not from Mega Man's center. To most enemies, it deals 1 point of damage, but enemies in the "Nature" category are instead dealt 3 points of damage.

Trivia[edit]
- In Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, Metal Blades appear as a unique hazard in SnoruntPyro's room on Floor 1 of Null and Void. They can be found inside Chill Man Blocks, and when said blocks are broken, the Metal Blade inside will fly directly at Zero.
