The Top Spin (タップスピン Tappu Supin) is Top Man's Special Weapon from Mega Man 3. It can only be used in the air, but using it makes Mega Man spin rapidly, creating a damaging field around him. Mega Man is still vulnerable to attacks while spinning, and ammo is depleted for every frame it touches an enemy, making the weapon somewhat unwieldy against enemies with invincibility frames.

Make a Good Mega Man Level[edit]
The Top Spin was voted to appear in Make a Good Mega Man Level by the Talkhaus community, tied with Thunder Wool as the most voted weapon (both receiving 5 votes). It now only depletes ammo from damaging individual enemies, and it otherwise makes Mega Man invincible for the duration of the spin. However, the weapon's damage output has been changed to two extremes: every enemy is either defeated instantly by Top Spin, or completely immune to it. The sole exception is Changkey Master, who has 28 health, but only takes 4 damage from Top Spin (making it weak to Top Spin without instantly being destroyed by it).

Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered[edit]
In Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered, the Top Spin acts like its Megamix Engine iteration (detailed below) in that it deals a consistent amount of damage to everything that isn't outright immune to it. As such, several enemies and bosses that were previously immune to the weapon now take damage from it.

- When playing with the Top Spin Only cheat, all bosses immune to the Top Spin take 1 damage from it.
Megamix Engine[edit]
Along with almost every other weapon to appear in the MaGMML series up to Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, the Top Spin is included in the Megamix Engine. The weapon still gives Mega Man temporary invincibility, and its ammo depletion works the same as in Make a Good Mega Man Level. However, instead of simply making enemies either immune or instantly destroyed by Top Spin, the weapon now deals varying amounts of damage to different enemies, with its default damage value being 3 (it has no other special damage values). This also means several more bosses take damage from the Top Spin.
