The Darkman Block is a gimmick in Mega Man 5, found in the fourth stage of Proto Man's Castle. It is a cracked, easily breakable, and often load-bearing block.
Darkman Blocks were first made available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where they appeared in the entries Airflow Hubble and Escape Sequence, as well as in the Pit of Pits sublevels "Fragile Tower", "Rise to the Challenge", and "Towerfall". They also appeared in the Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level entries Water Park Sup, Flower Core, and Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmoon Base.
In Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, Darkman Blocks were used in the entry Underground Runaround, and the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Bombastic Fantastic", "Four Steps", and "Hazardous Locomotion".
Behavior
Darkman Blocks do nothing but sit in place, and can be destroyed by several weapons. If placed in a Falling Tower, they will support it until all instances of them on the bottom are destroyed. Darkman Blocks are able to be picked up by the Super Arm and used as ammunition.
