Jet Bomb is an enemy from Mega Man 5. It is a highly explosive bomb with a jet engine attached to it.
Jet Bomb was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level contest, where it appeared in the entry Napalm Forest and Caves, as well as the Final Stage.
Jet Bomb returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Chomp Man, Holy Crap, Mega Man Can Airslide?, City Under Siege, and Escape Sequence, as well as the Wily stages Outer Space, Inner Sanctum, and Reality Core, the Tier X stage Swiss Hotel, Null and Void, and the Pit of Pits sub-levels "Up And Down" and "Water Boat Fast".
Behavior
Jet Bombs will simply fly straight forward. If they hit a solid surface, they will explode into three pieces of debris angled in Mega Man's direction. If they hit Mega Man or are defeated by an attack from him, they will explode into four pieces of debris that move in four diagonal directions.
By default, Jet Bombs are orange, but setting "col = #" in a Jet Bomb's creation code will change its color (1 makes it green, 2 makes it a different shade of green reminiscent of one of its colors in Mega Man for Game Gear, 3 makes it purple with a white middle, resembling its appearance in the Rockman 5 manga).
