The Ice Platform is a gimmick from Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge, found in Ice Man's stage. It is a block of ice that acts as a platform, but gradually melts as Mega Man stands on it.
Ice Platforms were first available with the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, but went completely unused in the final game.
Ice Platforms returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, and appeared in the entries Cardinal Man, Dragon Lab Lair, Shovel Knight, A Mega Man for All Seasons, Cursor Curse, and Mount Sabre. It also appeared in the Tier X stage Deep Thoughts, and the Pit of Pits sublevel "Wily Sewer Entrance".
Behavior
Ice Platforms stay in place, and act as platforms for Mega Man. Despite their appearance, Mega Man's movement isn't affected the same way it is on regular ice. However, the more Mega Man stands on it, the more it melts, eventually disappearing completely.
