Metall EX is an enemy from Mega Man 4. It is another upgrade of the Metall, capable of walking, jumping, and spinning, with the action depending on the variant encountered. As the walking variant is nearly identical to the walking Metall DX (and therefore absent), and the spinning variant (Metall Dance) is covered on its own article, this article will only discuss the jumping variant.
Metall EX was first made available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Lava Factory, But It Lacked the Depth to Convince Me That This is Really Hell, Bouncy Castle, and Escape Sequence. It later reappeared in Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, in the entries Mega Man Saves Canada from the Evil Clutches of, Cosmological Factory, and Windy Conditions, as well as the Box Cartel stage Pandora's Parlor.
Behavior
Metall EX will hide under their helmets at first. When Mega Man gets close, they will open up, fire a spread of three projectiles, then jump forward before hiding again.
