The Concrete Platform is a gimmick in Mega Man 9, found in Concrete Man's stage. It is a floating platform with an arrow on it, which rises or falls depending on the direction of said arrow.
Concrete Platforms were first included in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, and were used in the entries Quirky Unconsistent Incomprehensible Nonsensical Track, SMB3, Forgotten Fortress, Joe Destruction Co., Shovel Knight, AD 2101, Changeable Caverns, and Identity Crisis. They also appeared in the Wily stages Inner Sanctum and Reality Core, the Pit of Pits sublevels "Concrete Mix", "Forgotten Fortress", "Spinning Top Disposal Room" and "To the top", and in Null and Void.
Behavior
Concrete Platforms hang in the air until Mega Man steps on them. Once he does so, they will perform one of two actions depending on the platform in question; if it's a green platform with an upwards-pointing arrow, it will rise up off the top of the screen, and a pink platform with a downwards arrow will fall down to the bottom of the screen.
