Jumping Piranha Plant is an enemy from Super Mario World. It is a Piranha Plant with a propeller-like stem that allows it to jump into the air and slowly fall back down.
Jumping Piranha Plants appear as enemies in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, appearing in the Tier X stage Mario Land. In Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, they return in the level Code Landfill.
Behavior
Jumping Piranha Plants lie inside pipes, and will frequently jump out of it. After jumping up, they slowly float back down. By standing right next to their pipe, Jumping Piranha Plants will not emerge.
In Mario Land, a Jumping Piranha Plant cannot be jumped on, though damage can be avoided by using the Spin Jump on them. The Spin Jump cannot destroy them, however, but fireballs can.
