The Tornado Platform is a gimmick in Mega Man 9, found in Tornado Man's stage. It is a spinning magnet that rides on rails.
Tornado Platforms were first included in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, and were used in the entry Poorly Named Level, as well as the Wily stage Reality Core and the Pit of Pits sublevels "Cossack Climb" and "Stormy Ascent". They were also used in the Make a Good 24 Hour Mega Man Level entry Flooded Temple, and the Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero stage Refurbished Pyramid. In Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, their only appearance is in the Cartel Hideout level Pandora's Parlor.
Behavior
Tornado Platforms travel along rails, spinning so long as it doesn't come across any gaps in said rail. When Mega Man stands on them, he will become magnetised to it and rotate along with it, unable to walk, slide, or shoot. He is still able to jump off of it, but if he happens to be on the bottom of the magnet, he will simply drop off of it.
